I know that he didn't wear hearing aids prior to his implantation as there was no point, as you said. You might want to contact Amy and find out how she got the insurance approval to implant her son at the age of 6 months. Also, like you, Amy spent a year fighting with the insurance to get a second implant for her older son, Elliot, who was also born deaf.
